The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, screening, training, and supervising volunteers while assessing patient needs. They also coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure compliance with care plans and manage various volunteer-related programs and events.

- The Volunteer Coordinator will supervise and evaluate volunteer participants.
- The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, screen, select and train volunteers.
- The Volunteer Coordinator will assess the patient or caregiver’s volunteer needs. Volunteer Coordinator will assign volunteers to meet patient needs and promote volunteer interest and skills.
- Prepare client clinical and progress notes, incorporating notes into the electronic clinical record.
- Participate in the development of client’s plan of care and assure compliance for volunteer services.
- The Volunteer Coordinator will support the agency’s plan of care for services each patient receives through effective coordination with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and attendance at IDT meetings.
- Volunteer Coordinator will coordinate program events such as Volunteer Training, Volunteer Appreciation Programs, Volunteer Fair and Volunteer Continuing Education programs.

Shift: Part Time, ~25 per week

Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- Healthcare industry knowledge
- Experience working with volunteers, or as one
- Awareness of community programs
