What You Will Do
-
Develop and implement comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategies to attract diverse, committed, and mission-driven individuals.

Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, groups, schools, businesses, and other potential volunteer partners.

Coordinate community outreach initiatives to increase awareness of volunteer opportunities and the organization's mission.

Recruit, interview, onboard, and support volunteers throughout their experience with the organization.

Design and facilitate volunteer training programs to ensure volunteers are prepared and confident in their roles.

Match volunteers' unique skills, interests, and availability with appropriate opportunities.

Manage volunteer schedules, assignments, communications, and participation to ensure effective deployment and engagement.

Communicate regularly with volunteers to provide updates, answer questions, address concerns, and maintain engagement.

Collaborate with fundraising teams to integrate volunteer activities with fundraising campaigns, events, and organizational initiatives.

Assist with planning and coordinating volunteer events, community activities, fundraising events, and appreciation programs.

Maintain accurate volunteer records, participation data, and contribution information for reporting, recognition, and program evaluation.

Prepare monthly reports regarding volunteer recruitment, participation, activities, and engagement.

Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and motivation to volunteers while fostering a positive and inclusive volunteer experience.

Develop and implement formal volunteer recognition and retention initiatives, including appreciation cards, recognition activities, and volunteer appreciation events.

Identify opportunities to strengthen volunteer retention and encourage long-term engagement.

Represent Community Mainstreaming Associates at community events, volunteer fairs, outreach activities, and other public engagements.

Use public speaking and presentation skills to conduct volunteer orientations, training sessions, presentations, and community outreach activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
-
Proven experience in volunteer management or coordination, preferably within a nonprofit or community-based organization.
-
Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and public-speaking skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, support, and retain volunteers.
-
Familiarity with fundraising principles and community outreach strategies.
-
Must have completed the orientation period of 3–6 months in the current position.

Must be in good standing in the current position.
-
Must be current with all required mandatory trainings.
-
Smartphone required.
Preferred:
-
Experience with volunteer management software and database systems.
-
Background working in social services, nonprofit organizations, or community development programs.

Certification in Volunteer Management or completion of related professional development courses.

Experience organizing large-scale community events or fundraising campaigns.

Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse cultural communities.

Pay
$22.00–$24.00 per hour
