Rite of Passage at San Pasqual Academy (SPA) in Escondido, California is seeking dedicated Volunteers to support our students and staff in creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing environment for foster youth.

Located on a beautiful 238-acre campus in San Pasqual Valley, San Pasqual Academy is a first-of-its-kind residential education campus designed specifically for youth in foster care. Our campus includes classrooms, dormitories, athletic fields, and recreational spaces—offering countless opportunities to make a lasting impact.

What You’ll Do:
As a Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both staff and students in a variety of ways. Volunteers may assist with classroom and recreational activities, help organize and participate in campus events, provide tutoring or mentorship, or assist staff with light administrative projects. Every day brings a new opportunity to connect, contribute, and support our mission of empowering youth to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Who You Are:
We’re looking for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and passionate about helping youth succeed. Whether you have experience in education, social services, or simply want to give back to your community, we welcome your unique skills and energy.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older

• Must pass a background check and TB test (provided by SPA)

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries

• A positive attitude and commitment to our mission of empowering youth

While this is an unpaid volunteer position, you’ll gain hands-on experience in youth services, education, and nonprofit operations. Volunteers receive ongoing training, recognition, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth.
