Position Summary/Objective:  This person will aid the Timberwolves’ content team with capturing content, included but not limited to community impact, gamedays, and other organization initiatives, implementing the organization’s content strategies and objectives. This will be a seasonal part-time role, to last through the regular NBA season and potential playoffs.

The first full shift will be September 29th.  Expected availability is for all home and away Timberwolves games.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with video editing experience (long-form and short-form) and technical knowledge of General Production Equipment (DSLR Cameras, Audio Equipment, Production Lights, etc.) 
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and in a fast-paced, deadline-based, ever-changing environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented. 
• Shoot and edit in-game highlights, community activations, partnerships, and other behind-the-scenes content and promotional videos.
• Strong editorial background in basketball culture and/or community storytelling.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on deadlines and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to independently take a project from brief to final delivery.
• Capture pregame, game, and postgame on game night, including live game action, fans, concessions, promotions and activations, etc.
• Attend team events and other off-court organizational activations.
• Work cross-functionally with the Community Impact team to execute desired content results.
• Assist with behind-the-scenes content, team shoots, and other events as needed.
• Archive, log and maintain footage for future use
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to execute feedback given.
• Must be a team player who can work collaboratively.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 30 lbs.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Experience: Experience in sports content preferred. 

Education: Combination of education and experience preferred.    

Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. 

Travel: Position may require travel. 

Work Environment 

​​​​This job splits duties within a professional office environment and within a sports arena.  Office hours may vary on a day-to-day basis which will include evenings, weekends and holidays.  In addition to working office hours staff will work external events, including but not limited to charity and networking events.  Office work is generally sedentary in nature. The office working environment is generally favorable.  Office lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Office work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.  This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes ascending and descending bleachers/steps, walking on a catwalk over arena floor (100 feet up), and crawling into tight and dimly lit spaces (under bleachers/risers) to troubleshoot technology issues.  In the sports arena the work conditions may sometimes be dirty from prior events in the arena (sticky and dirty floors)​​​. 

Physical Demands 

​​​​The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, or crawl. The employee may frequently remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the building both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move items weighing up to 50 pounds.​
