In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

• Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

• A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

• Federal Work Study student may apply.

• In good disciplinary standing.

• Must be located in the U.S.

Berklee’s Division of Pre-College, Online, and Professional Programs (POPP) is seeking a Video Production Assistant. This includes work with Berklee Online, the largest and most celebrated online music college in the world. The position offers the proper candidate the opportunity to be involved in Berklee College of Music’s educational offerings through the production and creation of video content for courses and other projects. The successful candidate will help the video team take projects through the full video production lifecycle. They will edit various stages of video projects, and make revisions, based on review input from the project’s Video Producer, as well as assist with the file management, backups, and archiving of assets. The candidate will also help with video shoots as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your background in video editing techniques and production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Edit video using ScreenFlow and other editing software, manage digital files, and select stills from video for thumbnail display.

• Export edits from the above work, upload them to an online collaboration platform for review, and make revisions on those edits as requested, according to tasks assigned by the Video Producers.

• Assist the Senior Digital Asset Manager with video backup, archiving, asset tracking, and data management, including closed caption editing.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• This position requires someone who is very well organized, has excellent communication skills, and has a strong attention to detail. We will train the selected candidate in all the necessary areas.

• We would prefer a candidate committed to at least two semesters. Time commitment per week is flexible.

• This is primarily a remote work position, with some on-campus studio and location work, as needed.

• Highly efficient in digital file management and asset organization.

• Familiarity with Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets.

• Should be able to assist with transporting equipment to location sites, if needed.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic demonstrated video production and postproduction experience.
