Uxbridge Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative and compassionate team. In This Role You Will

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with appointments, procedures, surgery, and dentistry.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures and provide compassionate patient care.
• Assist with restraint, treatments, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Help care for hospitalized patients and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information.
• Communicate with clients and help educate them on basic patient care and treatment instructions.
• Help maintain an efficient workflow and contribute to a positive team environment.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has previous veterinary assistant experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Is comfortable working with dogs and cats and providing safe, compassionate patient handling.
• Has experience with basic veterinary assisting skills such as restraint, sample collection, medication administration, and patient care.
• Is dependable, organized, and able to stay focused in a busy environment.
• Communicates well with clients and coworkers.
• Is eager to learn and continue developing their veterinary skills.
• Can work two evening shifts until 8:00 PM and a rotating Saturday schedule.
