About the Role

 OpenLoop's mission is to bring care anywhere by powering telehealth solutions at scale. The Pharmacy Operations & Supply Chain team owns the journey from the moment a provider writes a prescription to the moment medication reaches the patient's door — including the network of 20+ pharmacy partners that fulfills that volume across all 50 states.

As Vendor Relationship Specialist, Pharmacy Network, you are the single owner of that partner network. You hold the relationships, negotiate the pricing, qualify and bring on new partners, and are accountable for having the right capacity and the right state coverage in place before demand arrives. This network carries a significant share of total order volume, and today it's managed informally by one leader along everything else — you're taking it over and building the operating standard for how it runs.

What You'll Do

• Own the partner network end to end. Serve as the primary point of contact across 20+ pharmacy fulfillment partners — relationships, capacity, product and formulary coverage, and performance. You are who partners call, and the person accountable when something needs to move.

• Negotiate pricing and terms. Own commercial conversations directly with partners, trading cost against capacity, coverage, and turnaround rather than optimizing price in isolation.

• Source and qualify new partners. Identify, cold-outreach, and qualify new pharmacies against capacity, product capability, licensure, and compliance. Build the qualification framework itself — it doesn't exist today.

• Own 50-state coverage. Maintain coverage for every medication on the formulary. When a new medication launches without full coverage, you're accountable for finding and onboarding partners licensed in the gap states and getting it live.

• Manage network capacity against demand. Work from the team's demand forecast to grow or rebalance partner capacity ahead of volume, and give partners forward visibility on what's coming so they can plan production — rather than reacting once we're over capacity.

• Support partner onboarding and integration. Shepherd new partners through integration alongside the Systems & Formulary team so new capacity comes online cleanly.

• Build the standard. Establish repeatable process, partner scorecards, and documentation for how we manage the network, so it lives in a system rather than in one person's phone.

• Verify performance in person. Visit partner sites periodically to confirm capability, quality, and compliance firsthand and to deepen relationships that are otherwise maintained remotely.

• Partner cross-functionally with Demand & Supply Planning, Systems & Formulary, Patient Support, and Licensing & Credentialing to resolve issues that span the order lifecycle.

• Other duties as assigned. 

Who You Are

You've owned a partner or vendor book yourself — not coordinated one on someone else's behalf. You're comfortable picking up the phone to a pharmacy you've never spoken to, asking hard questions about capacity, and walking away when the answers don't hold up. You'd rather build the process than wait for one, and you're energized by a network that's growing faster than its operating model.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 6+ years in vendor, partner, supplier, or network management, with direct ownership of a partner portfolio.

• Working knowledge of 503A compounding pharmacy operations — state licensure, compounding capability, and how capacity varies by medication.

• Demonstrated ownership of pricing and commercial negotiations, independently.

• Track record sourcing and qualifying new partners from scratch, including cold outreach.

• Comfortable establishing process, standards, and documentation where little exists.

• Strong cross-functional communication; effective with operational, clinical, technical, and finance audiences.

• Comfortable in a fast-moving, flat-structure environment with shifting priorities and a high-touch relationship load.

• Willingness to travel to partner sites approximately every 4–6 weeks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a 503A pharmacy network for multi-state coverage at a telehealth, digital health, or DTC health company.

• Familiarity with prescription ordering flows, formulary structure, titration schedules, or medication strengths and concentrations.

• Cold-chain or temperature-controlled fulfillment experience.

• Contract negotiation and vendor compliance or audit experience.

• Experience building vendor scorecards, qualification frameworks, or capacity tracking from the ground up.
