Join BILL as a Vendor Development Representative on our Supplier Network team and help accelerate the shift from legacy payment methods to modern digital payment experiences. BILL's supplier network is foundational to how hundreds of thousands of SMBs pay their vendors. Our team works directly with the businesses on the receiving end of those payments, ensuring they are set up and ready to accept digital payments so money moves without friction, delay, or manual workarounds.

In this role, you will own a quota to convert suppliers from check and ACH payments to virtual card payments, enable suppliers,  and drive overall payment volume.  You will achieve this outcome through outbound outreach to suppliers via  phone and email and capturing the details needed to execute payments successfully. Your accuracy and follow-through on every supplier record directly reduces payment delays for BILL's SMB customers and contributes to the total payment volume the team puts on the board each month. 

Success in this role is measured end-to-end: conversion is defined from initial acceptance and setup through a customer's first successfully settled payment, so we're looking for someone who holds themselves accountable to business outcomes, not just outreach activity.  High performers build toward account ownership, taking on a defined supplier portfolio with expanded responsibility over retention, upsell, and payment adoption strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Contact suppliers through outbound calls and email to validate payment acceptance, confirm payment preferences, and capture setup details including acceptance method, limits, remittance requirements, and delivery instructions
• Educate suppliers on the operational and financial benefits of digital payment methods, including Virtual Card, and guide them through the transition from check and ACH
• Maintain complete, accurate Salesforce records for every supplier interaction so downstream payment operations teams can execute payments without rework or delay
• Use structured playbooks and call scripts as the foundation for supplier conversations while applying independent judgment to handle objections, exceptions, and escalations
• Meet or exceed monthly activity and conversion targets, including outbound call volume, email follow-up, and total payment volume won and settled
• Partner closely with operations, payment onboarding, retention, and product support teams to ensure smooth supplier handoffs and resolve issues quickly
• Surface friction points in the supplier onboarding and payment setup journey and bring specific, actionable observations to internal stakeholders

We'd love to chat if you have:

• 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales, supplier or vendor outreach, inside sales, or payment operations support in a B2B environment or equivalent
• A demonstrated track record of working against volume and quality metrics simultaneously, including calls, conversions, and documentation accuracy
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM, specifically data entry, record hygiene, and activity logging
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain payment and financial concepts clearly to non-technical business contacts
• Comfort navigating multiple tools simultaneously, including dialer platforms, CRM systems, and internal workflow tools

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with supplier onboarding, remittance requirements, or payment delivery logistics
• Exposure to payment volume or TPV-based performance measurement
• Background in payments, fintech, or financial services

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above.
