Pay Range

USD $101,335.00 - USD $126,669.00 /Yr.

STAR Bonus % (At Risk Maximum)

7.50 - Salaried Non-Management except pharmacists

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Sr. Account Executive to join our team!

The Sr. Account Executive (Sr. AE) is a senior level individual contributor responsible for full strategic ownership of complex client accounts within the health plan and employer PBM space. This role leads sophisticated client relationships and books of broker, consultants and/or TPA Agents, serving as the primary strategic partner for Company level clients with high customization, elevated service needs, and complex benefit designs. The Sr. Account Executive independently manages account strategy, resolves complex situations, leads Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and engages executive level client and consultant stakeholders while collaborating closely with internal partners including Sales, Clinical Account Executives, Analytics, Operations, and Product teams.

This position plays a critical role in advancing organizational goals for the organization by strengthening long‑term client partnerships, increasing adoption of value‑added programs, and ensuring solutions are aligned with evolving clinical, financial, and utilization trends. Through strategic insight, professional influence, and mentorship of other Account Executives, the Sr. Account Executive helps elevate client outcomes, reinforces the Company differentiation in the marketplace, and supports sustainable growth across complex client segments.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team? 

• Lead full strategic ownership of a highly complex book of business, including employer groups, health plans, and multi consultant relationships, ensuring long-term alignment with organizational objectives.
• Direct client account strategy, including planning, execution, and ongoing refinement based on clinical trends, utilization data, and business insights.
• Maintain trusted executive‑level relationships with clients, brokers, and consultants by demonstrating strong listening skills, professional judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes aligned with both client and company priorities.
• Guide Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) by setting agendas, coordinating cross‑functional preparation, leading pre‑review planning sessions, and delivering customized insights and recommendations.
• Upsell value added programs such as AGS, medical carveouts with Archimedes products, and clinical program offerings into client strategies based on identified needs and opportunities.
• Translate complex reporting, claims adjudication concepts, and clinical insights into actionable recommendations, identifying root causes of performance gaps across the end‑to‑end process.
• Resolve complex client issues independently by applying deep operational, contractual, and clinical knowledge, while exercising appropriate judgment on when escalation is necessary.
• Mentor Account Executives team members by sharing best practices, producing training materials, and leading internal task forces or workgroups.

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?  

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, required. 
• 5-7 years of progressive experience leading highly complex client accounts within the PBM, health plan, healthcare, or related benefits environment, including responsibility for overall account strategy, performance, and retention required.
• 5 years of demonstrated success managing executive‑level client, broker, and consultant relationships, involving significant customization, financial impact, and strategic oversight required.
• 5 years of experience leading Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and other strategic client engagements that address clinical trends, financial outcomes, utilization patterns, and performance guarantees required.
• 5 years of experience independently resolving complex account issues, applying sound judgment to determine when escalation is necessary versus when issues can be resolved without leadership involvement required.
• 5 years of experience mentoring peers and contributing to formal or informal training, task forces, workgroups, or cross‑functional initiatives that improve client outcomes or operational effectiveness required.
• 5 years of working knowledge of claims adjudication processes, including the ability to assess downstream impacts on client experience, financial outcomes, and clinical program performance required.
• 5 years of experience using client reporting systems, analytics tools, and company platforms to interpret data, generate insights, and support proactive, strategic decision‑making required.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
