The Virginia Eye Institute (VEI) is hiring! VEI is a large and dynamic practice of ophthalmologists and optometrists in the Richmond, VA area.
We are searching for a part-time valet to join our busy practice.
Position Type: Part-Time
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible van driver to transport people from a designated parking lot offsite but near by our Hanover VEI office. This role is essential in ensuring timely and safe transportation, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation Duties:
- Drive the company van from the offsite parking lot to the Hanover VEI office and back.
- Ensure all passengers are safely seated and adhere to safety regulations.
- Maintain a consistent schedule, picking up and dropping off as required.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the van is in good working condition.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Keep the van clean and presentable at all times.
- Communication:
- Coordinate with the office staff to confirm schedules and any changes in transportation needs.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with passengers.
-Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving larger vehicles or vans is preferred.
- Strong time management skills and reliability.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is a plus.

Compensation:
- Hourly wage is based on experience ($16.78 - $21.15)
