The Utility/Kitchen Prep worker is responsible for preparing food according to recipes and maintaining high quality and safety standards. They also assist with general kitchen functions, including stock management and dish room operations.
Job Description
Creative Dining Services is looking for a Part-Time Utility/Kitchen Prep worker. The Utility/Prep works within the Dining Services Department to ensure that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, in a safe manner. Works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare food such that all food is ready for use within the established timeframe.
- Prepares food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal.
- Supports other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately.
- Puts away/Pulls stock as needed.
- Dish room operations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year food service experience preferred
