Foodland Super Market, Ltd., Hawaii's largest locally owned grocery retailer, is hiring for Utility Clerks to join our team!

This is an hourly position, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification). 

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Observe all store rules and company policies
• Observe shift operating hours at all times as scheduled or assigned by store director
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health code regulations
• Clean parking lot and receiving area
• Clean shopping baskets and carts
• Clean refrigerated and freezer cases, including providing support for work performed by refrigeration company
• Clean walk-in freezer and chills
• Clean shelves
• Clean bathroom and break room
• Order cleaning supplies
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs
• Perform power washes as needed
• Sweep and mop and maintain sweep log
• Assist departments with their cleaning needs, in conjunction with, and in addition to, cleaning performed by department members
• Empty rubbish
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• TB Clearance required
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements

Work Environment:

• The work environment includes occasional exposure to refrigerated frozen food storage areas with temperatures as low as 20 degrees (Fahrenheit) below zero
• The work environment includes occasional exposure near heated ovens and high temperatures
• Access to break rooms, offices, and all employee restrooms may require ascending/descending a flight of stairs
• The employee may occasionally be required to accompany or escort refrigeration repair personnel to machine and compressor rooms which can have extremely high noise levels; however; typically the noise level in the work environment is moderate.
