Urgent Hiring for Travel Registered Nurse Medical / Surgical in Mattoon, Illinois

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Medical-Surgical and wound care experience to provide skilled nursing care in an outpatient wound clinic. The RN will assess and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds while collaborating with providers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Pay

Traveler Rate: $58/hour

• $28/hour taxable W-2
• $30/hour non-taxable stipend

Location: Mattoon, IL
 Start Date: August 31, 2026
 Duration: 13 Weeks | Ends November 28, 2026
 Shift: Days | Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
 Hours: 40 Hours/Week
 Assignment Type: Travel Only
 Local Radius: 50 miles

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving wound care services.
• Assess wounds and monitor healing progress.
• Perform wound treatments, dressing changes, and other prescribed interventions.
• Monitor patients for signs of infection or complications and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Educate patients and families on wound care, treatment plans, and prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and clinical standards.
• Float to other areas as required.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
• Wound care experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• BLS – AHA required.
• ACLS required.
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
