About the NextGen Program

The United Wheels NextGen Program is a paid, educational internship experience designed to develop the next generation of talent across business, technology, and innovation. Through this program, Ohio based undergraduate and graduate students will gain hands-on, real-world experience while learning how United Wheels operates as a modern, data-driven business. Interns will be embedded within teams and exposed to key areas such as:

• Business operations and strategy
• Technology and systems integration
• Data analytics and AI applications
• Marketing, brand, and digital experience
• Human resources and people analytics
• Product, design, and customer insights

Program Structure

What You Will Do

• Work on meaningful projects tied to real business outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Receive guidance from both an Intern Leader and Mentor
• Build professional skills in a structured, supportive environment
• Internship tracks are aligned to key functional areas of the business, allowing candidates to focus on their career interests while gaining broad exposure

The NextGen Internship Program is delivered in collaboration with the Ohio College Technology Internship Program (CTIP), administered by the State of Ohio. As part of this partnership, candidates will complete a dual application process: (Both applications are required for full consideration)

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the state of Ohio
• Interest in one or more of the listed internship tracks
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
