Job Description
We are seeking a professional and dependable Unarmed Protection Specialist to join our team. The Protection Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for clients, employees, visitors, and the public. This position requires a strong security presence, excellent situational awareness, sound judgment, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will be attentive, reliable, and capable of responding professionally to security concerns, emergencies, and unexpected situations. Responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, observing and reporting suspicious activity, assisting with access control, enforcing site policies and post orders, de-escalating conflicts, responding to incidents, and completing accurate daily activity and incident reports.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
- Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other illegal or inappropriate activities.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Report incidents, suspicious activities, and safety hazards promptly and accurately.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in public safety or security.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Valid Guard Card required
- Valid CPR certification preferred; will be required 30 days after hiring
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in security are a plus.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- *1800-0200*
- Candidates must have reliable transportation and be available to work the full assigned shift.
- Schedule may be adjusted based on operational or client needs.
