Truck Driver

Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Pulaski, TN 38478We're seeking a reliable and safety focused CDL Truck Driver to join our delivery team. We are a private carrier that manufactures and delivers our own product. All freight is palletized and prepositioned on the trailer for delivery. You'll be responsible for transporting building materials such as joint compound and dry wall materials to our company stores and customer locations. An electric pallet jack may have to be used to move the pallets to the end of the trailer for offloading. This is a local and regional driving position based out of our Pulaski, TN location. Drivers work Mon thru Fri and are home every evening. You are paid weekly and overtime paid after 40hrs with our drivers, averaging 50-55 hours per week. Medical benefits are fully paid by the company for the employee only with options to add additional family members. Pay is contingent on safety background and experience. This role is essential in keeping our operations running smoothly and our customer supplied on time. 

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate company trucks to deliver building materials to designated locations
Verify delivery orders and ensure accuracy of shipments
Maintain delivery schedules and communicate delays or issues promptly
Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
Follow DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups

 
Qualifications
Must have a Class A CDL license (this is a DOT requirement) and MVR with no more than one moving violation in the last year
Must have at least one year of driving experience with 10 speed manual transmission experience
Excellent customer service skills
Candidates must pass driving test, drug screen, and background check. [Convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. However, company policy does not permit the employment of candidates with some classes/types convictions.]
