Traveling Head of School

As a TRAVELING Head of School, you’ll lead a campus that inspires, empowers, and builds a thriving community where learning is truly customized for every student.

• Are a dynamic and energetic Head of School willing to support Fusion schools as the interim Head of School.
• Are able to temporarily support any Fusion campus across the nation as a TRAVELING Head of School, supporting great culture, instructional delivery, campus operations, and overall enrollment.
• Are geographically mobile and willing to travel 100% of the time nationally.
• Are interested in the typical assignments which are 1-12 months in duration at a time and are physically based where we have campuses in the US.
• Have a passion for enhancing school communities academically and culturally, while growing enrollment.

What You'll Do:

• Build and lead your campus team with vision, innovation, and a culture of heart and collaboration.
• Inspire and develop staff through clear expectations, coaching, and professional growth. 
• Drive enrollment through community connections, partnerships, and events. 
• Ensure operational and fiscal health, balancing high-quality programming with smart management.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff to create a dynamic and supportive school culture. 

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or higher preferred. 
• 3–5 years of successful school leadership experience.
• Experience managing a budget, financial reporting, and tracking specific metric performance. 
• Proven ability to build culture and lead diverse teams.
• Experience with enrollment growth, admissions, or business development.
• Passion for alternative education and supporting diverse learners. 
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

NOTE: This role is posted as remote as the person will not have a permanent "office" due to the traveling nature of the role. When serving as Head of School however, the person will be required to be in-person in the school(s).

NOTE: For the two available openings, there will be one focused on the East Region locations and the other will focus on West Region locations.

In addition to base salary, Fusion Heads of School are eligible for performance bonuses tied to KPI achievement.

Pay Range

USD $98,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Hr.
