Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory care and medication administration based on expanded knowledge, evaluated in the evaluate-and-treat process
- Manage care in complex, multiple-condition patient scenarios, with a focus on critical care and protocol-driven ventilator management
- Exercise independent decision-making and self-direction in patient care delivery
- Educate patients and families, coordinate activities, and participate in staff development and education
- Contribute to the education of new employees and team members
- Provide culturally sensitive care with awareness of population-specific needs and psychosocial supports

Requirements
- Active respiratory therapist license to practice in the United States (state requirements apply)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or eligibility
- Experience in critical care settings with ventilator management preferred
- Completion of an approved respiratory therapy educational program (degree level as applicable)
- Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment, including nights and 12-hour shifts
- Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients and families
