Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapies and monitor patients per physician orders, including ventilatory support and medications as indicated.
- Verify orders, document all respiratory care procedures accurately, and communicate patient status during handoffs and rounds.
- Manage airway support: bag-valve-mask ventilation, assist with intubation, suctioning, and appropriate use of artificial airways.
- Initiate, monitor, and titrate mechanical ventilation; interpret flow-volume and pressure-volume curves to guide therapy.
- Perform arterial blood gas draws and support related pulmonary diagnostics; participate in patient care rounds and department in-services.
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to infection control and PPE requirements.

Requirements
- Graduation from a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program with Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential per NBRC.
- BLS certification obtained within 90 days of hire; NRP certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum 1 year hospital-based respiratory care experience; pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac diagnostics experience preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; ability to pass background check and drug screen; complete employee health requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
