Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures (biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements) and assist during procedures as needed.
- Monitor patients intra-procedure, manage vital signs, and respond to clinical changes under the guidance of the IR team.
- Provide post-procedure recovery care, including PACU and extended stay areas, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain sterile technique, document procedures, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary IR team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Support trauma embolization response and critical care needs as part of the unit’s workflow; demonstrate strong critical thinking and clear communication.
- Ensure equipment readiness, respond to call needs, and adhere to infection prevention measures and hospital policies.

Requirements
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-based hospital environment; able to comply with infection prevention measures and unit-specific dress/crew policies
