Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill patients in the PCU/IMCU with cardiac disease, monitoring rhythms and vital signs.
- Manage telemetry and respond to rhythm changes, decompensation, and evolving cardiac events.
- Administer cardiac medications and IV drips (examples include Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors) per protocol.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans for STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and CP cases; implement orders and monitor patient response.
- Monitor for complications related to cardiac conditions, initiate appropriate interventions, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- May also care for telemetry beds in the same unit with lower acuity levels; document thoroughly and communicate changes to the team.

Requirements
- Documented PCU/IMCU experience in a facility of similar size (minimum 2 years)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and appropriate administration of cardiac therapies
- Ability to work a night shift schedule and participate in mandatory holiday coverage
- Comfortable caring for a 28-bed PCU/IMCU patient population with cardiac focus; capable of handling STEMI/NSTEMI and related clinical scenarios
