Responsibilities
- Serve as circulating and scrub RN in the OR, maintaining a sterile field, preparing equipment, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.
- Manage instrument counts, anticipate needs, and support patient safety and anesthesia continuity throughout case flow.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other OR staff; document intraoperative care and ensure accurate perioperative records.
- Support a range of specialties including orthopedics, urology, oncology, general surgery, ENT, plastics, neuro, cancer/trauma, and use Da Vinci robotic systems as required.
- Handle on-call responsibilities: one weekday call per week and one 24-hour call in each four-week schedule block.
- Uphold unit protocols, comply with EPIC documentation within the past two years, and participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Requirements
- Prior travel nursing experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR experience in a high-volume setting.
- Experience in a large trauma Level I center (500+ beds) preferred.
- EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable).
- Must include circulating and scrub skills as part of the applicant packet.
- Demonstrated OR skills across multiple services: ortho, uro, oncology, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, cardiovascular/trauma, and comfort with Da Vinci robotics.
- BLS certification required.
- Schedule flexibility to meet unit needs; reliable transportation due to limited public transit in the area.
- All work history details (including bed count, EMR use, facility type) should be complete in the application.
