Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients within a radiation oncology service line
- Administer chemotherapy per physician orders; ensure chemotherapy certification is current and chemotherapy can be administered
- Monitor patient status, assess for side effects, manage symptoms, and respond to changes in condition
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and coordinate safety and infection control measures
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (physicians, dosimetry, radiation therapists, pharmacists, social work) to develop and implement individualized care plans; document care accurately in the chart
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication safety, potential side effects, and self-care strategies

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Radiation Oncology or Oncology nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Chemotherapy certification and ability to administer chemotherapy
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Ability to work in an inpatient oncology radiation setting and participate in holiday coverage as required
