Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient oncology patients in the clinic/hospital setting according to the nursing process
- Collect relevant data, assess the patient’s health status, and develop and implement care plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, provide patient and family education, and promote a safe, healing environment
- Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for clinic procedures; assist the physician with minor procedures as directed; ensure sterile technique and infection control
- Document comprehensive care, assessments, and plans in the EPIC electronic health record; participate in discharge planning and follow-up coordination
- Supervise and coordinate activities of other nursing staff as assigned; delegate tasks appropriately and monitor team performance

Requirements
- Active California RN license; BSN preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- 2-3 years of recent outpatient oncology experience
- EPIC EMR experience
- ONCC-CHIM certification required
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification required
- No on-call required; ability to work in a rotating day shift within an outpatient clinic setting
