Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neuro patients in a telemetry-filled environment, addressing stroke and epilepsy-related needs and other neurological conditions.
- Perform frequent neurological assessments, monitor neuro status, document findings, and respond to changes in condition per protocol.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor for adverse effects, and maintain seizure precautions; support epilepsy monitoring activities as assigned.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans; assist with diagnostic testing and continuous EEG-related activity as applicable.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, discharge planning, and treatment expectations; ensure safe transitions of care.

Requirements
- Active RN license in New York
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a hospital/acute-care setting, with rotating assignments as needed
