Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical/surgical patients on a 30-bed unit, including monitoring and adjusting to changing patient conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, perform basic wound care, IV therapy, and other routine procedures within scope.
- Assess patients, document findings, and communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and the care team.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; participate in care planning and patient education for families.
- Maintain infection control practices, safety standards, and patient comfort; respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate as needed.

Requirements
- Active, current RN license in Georgia.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg nursing experience; level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a 30-bed Med/Surg unit and perform duties on a night shift; comfortable with a patient ratio around 5–6:1.
- No approved time off during the assignment (NO RTO).
