Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients, including telemetry monitoring and rapid assessment of changes in condition
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; manage IVs and basic wound care as applicable
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, document findings, and participate in the development and updating of care plans
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (physicians, case managers, pharmacists, and peers); ensure effective handoffs and accurate shift reports
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- May assume expanded responsibilities per unit needs, such as charge nurse duties, precepting new staff, or contributing to committee work

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York (NYRN)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum two years of RN experience
- Ability to work in an inpatient medical-surgical unit with telemetry
- Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends and holidays as required by unit needs
