Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical and surgical patients on a high-turnover admission unit, with an average patient load around 5:1
- Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures following physician orders and nursing best practices
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interprofessional team to coordinate care, admissions, discharges, and bed management
- Document care and updates accurately in the electronic health record; ensure thorough handoffs at shift change
- Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and quality of care on a fast-paced unit

Requirements
- Active Georgia Registered Nurse license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
- Experience on a high-turnover admission unit; strong communication and independent work style
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and meet holiday coverage requirements
