Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for general medical and surgical patients on a 10-bed unit, including admissions and rapid turnover.
- Monitor patient conditions, perform ongoing assessments, administer medications and therapies, and respond to changes in clinical status.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team; participate in care planning and discharge planning.
- Document care in the electronic health record with accuracy and timeliness; ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control policies.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with a patient load around 5:1 on the Med/Surg unit; communicate clearly with patients and families.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (GA or eligibility for licensure in Georgia)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
- Ability to work night shifts; 12-hour shifts; capable of managing rapid admissions on a 10-bed unit
- Experience on a Med/Surg/admission-focused unit with general medical and surgical patients
- Documentation requirements: resume with no gaps greater than 60 days; Skills Checklist; References; Certification Card; Nursys license verification
