This is a travel - temporary assignment for an acute care Med-Surg RN. The role requires active licensure in New Hampshire or a compact license, BLS and ACLS certification, and experience in medical-surgical care. You may be asked to float to nearby units within the health system as needed. The assignment runs for thirteen contract weeks with variable hours and requires navigation of a Cerner EMR environment; local or traveler status will be considered at the local rate.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care on the Med-Surg unit, including ongoing assessment, vital sign monitoring, and documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, with accuracy and timely charting.
- Assist with IV therapy, wound care, and post-operative care as appropriate for the unit.
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate to the charge nurse or physician as needed.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and safety measures.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure safe, high-quality delivery of services.
- Potentially float to nearby units to support staffing needs and maintain patient safety.

Requirements
- Active NH license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications current
- 1 year minimum Med-Surg Acute Care experience (travel experience preferred)
- EMR experience preferred, Cerner strongly preferred but not required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to unit needs
- RTO requests must be included at time of submission
- Willingness to float to nearby units as needed
