Overview
Registered Nurse - L&D in a labor and delivery setting. This travel assignment is located in Lancaster, Ohio. Start date 09/28/2026 for 8 weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide direct RN care to obstetric patients using the nursing process from admission to discharge, including postpartum and newborn care as applicable.
- Monitor fetal status with Electronic Fetal Monitoring and respond to non-reassuring findings in collaboration with the physician and care team.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and implement physician orders accurately and safely.
- Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care; support discharge planning and home care instructions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team; supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and other staff as needed.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are ready and functioning; maintain a safe, clean environment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.

Requirements
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certificate required
- CPR certification
- Education: Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Experience: Previous RN experience preferred, with emphasis on labor and delivery or acute care
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and manage the demands of a night-shift L&D unit
