Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date 10/12/2026 for 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families; include care during emergencies and circulating for C-sections.
- Assess maternal and fetal status, monitor amniotic fluid status, vaginal bleeding, and recognize/manage abnormalities; respond to perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia).
- Develop and execute multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with the health care team; provide care aligned with the plan.
- Manage pain control for laboring patients, explore and implement alternative pain management when appropriate, and assist with epidural catheter placement with post-placement monitoring.
- Educate patients and families across perinatal and postpartum periods, tailoring teaching to age, culture, condition, and learning readiness; document care clearly and timely.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within the scope of practice; support the LDRP model and maintain high standards of patient safety.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California) with eligibility to work in the United States
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, NRP; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring; Epic EMR experience
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Additional: No on-call requirement; experience with LDRP model; ability to work in a perinatal setting and manage obstetric emergencies
