Overview
Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) – L&D in Templeton, California. This travel assignment starts 10/12/2026 for 18 contract weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,679 to $2,747, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This travel - temporary assignment is designed for experienced obstetric care providers joining a dedicated team on a night schedule, with LDRP workflow and no on-call requirements.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide comprehensive nursing care for patients and their families during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations and circulating for C-sections.
- Assess fetal and maternal status, monitor amniotic fluid, evaluate vaginal bleeding, and recognize and respond to perinatal abnormalities and emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, rapid labor, shoulder dystocia).
- Manage pain control during labor and support and implement alternative pain control methods as appropriate.
- Assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor maternal/fetal status during placement and after medication administration.
- Educate patients and families across all stages of perinatal and postpartum care, using culturally appropriate and developmentally suitable teaching methods.
- Document nursing care legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner, including evaluation of patient responses; collaborate with the health care team to adjust care plans as needed.
- Work within the LDRP model, supervising and delegating to ancillary staff within scope of practice; contribute to a safe, high-quality obstetric care environment.

Requirements
- Active California RN license (Current RN license in state of practice: Required)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; LDRP model experience preferred; two years recent L&D experience
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Other: Must have EPIC electronic health record experience; Night shift availability to work 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with rotating schedule; No on-call requirement
