Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric patients according to standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to changes, administer medications, and assist with procedures as ordered.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Document care plans, ensure patient safety and comfort, and provide patient and family education.
- Communicate plan of care with physicians and other members of the care team; participate in handoffs and care coordination.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in good standing (California) or eligibility.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- 1+ year of L&D/OB nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work nights in a high-acuity obstetric setting; strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Education: graduate of an approved nursing program (RN degree: ADN or BSN).
