Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for obstetric patients in the Labor & Delivery/Women's Care Unit, including newborn-focused care when applicable.
- Administer and manage narcotics and medications; monitor IV fluids per policy and procedure.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop an individualized plan of care, set priorities, document interventions and patient responses, and evaluate outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and all members of the care team; participate in coordination and handoffs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized unit; ensure proper use of equipment and compliance with safety and infection control practices.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding and delegating tasks to other licensed staff under supervision; respond promptly and professionally to emergencies.
- Provide patient and family education and ensure documentation is accurate and timely in the clinical record.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Experience in Labor & Delivery or Women’s Care units preferred
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week
- Competence in age-specific care for a patient population spanning infant to geriatric
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document and report clearly in the medical record
- Capable of providing safe, evidence-based care within a hospital setting
