Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) is sought for a travel assignment in Templeton, California. This 13-week engagement starts 10/12/2026 in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Work a 3x12 night schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Travel position through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for obstetric patients across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to changes, administer medications per orders, and support safe labor and delivery
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interprofessional team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Provide education, emotional support, and advocacy for patients and families during labor and postpartum periods
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and ensure compliance with standards of nursing practice and hospital policies

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- One year of recent acute care RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years; nov\\-ice/new to L&D nurses take AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course within first 6–8 months, then AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring every two years
- AHA/ARC BLS and ACLS; AHA/ARC NRP required as appropriate
- EPIC experience
- LDRP model experience preferred
