This travel assignment places a Labor & Delivery RN in a short-term acute care setting. Start date is 10/12/2026 for a 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Compensated at $2,680 to $2,889 per week. The shift is 12-hour nights (3x12-hour shifts). The role encompasses antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care and includes circulating for surgical deliveries within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide direct nursing care for obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations.
- Continuously monitor maternal and fetal status, assess amniotic fluid and vaginal bleeding, and respond to perinatal emergencies (eg, crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia).
- Assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor fetal and maternal status during and after analgesia administration; manage pain control and implement alternative strategies when appropriate.
- Educate patients and families about perinatal and postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge planning, using age- and culturally appropriate approaches.
- Document all nursing care legibly and timely in the electronic health record; collaborate with the care team and delegate tasks to ancillary staff within scope.
- Maintain readiness for Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum workflows and adapt to unit processes; demonstrate clinical judgment in perinatal care and safety.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) and eligibility to practice
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (per policy); Advanced Fetal Monitoring training (AWHONN) and either AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS as applicable
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably EPIC; EPIC experience required
- Ability to work in a Labor & Delivery setting and participate in an LDRP model; flexibility to rotate shifts as onboarding and internal transfers occur
