Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill or unstable ICU patients, including ongoing assessment and timely response to changes in condition.
- Monitor and interpret patient data (vital signs, labs, hemodynamics) and manage ICU therapies (ventilator support, sedation, analgesia, vasoactive medications) per orders.
- Administer medications and treatments, verify safety, and document outcomes accurately in the medical record.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (physicians, respiratory therapists, case management, and support staff) to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families as appropriate, advocate for patient needs, and ensure compliance with clinical policies and evidence-based practice.
- Maintain compliance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the Code of Ethics, while upholding hospital standards for quality and safety.

Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license in good standing
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- ICU or critical care experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced ICU setting
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
