Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care before, during, and after GI and pulmonary interventional procedures (e.g., colonoscopies, EGD, bronchoscopies) and related activities such as feeding tube placement, ERCP, EBUS, GI bleeds management, flexible sigmoidoscopy, foreign body retrieval, navigation bronchoscopy, variceal banding, Bravo pH/motility testing, capsule endoscopy.
- Monitor patient status, obtain and interpret vitals, assist with sedation and anesthesia as directed, document accurately, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Prepare and assist with procedures, maintain sterile technique, manage equipment and supplies, and ensure proper positioning and patient comfort.
- Administer medications as ordered, observe for adverse reactions, and coordinate with the procedural team to support safe, efficient care.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure education, discharge instructions, and ensure complete and compliant charting and documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, radiology and support staff; participate in safety protocols and quality improvement processes.

Requirements
- Current Georgia RN license (active)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in GI Lab or closely related specialty
- Ability to work 4x10-hour shifts with call, in a hospital GI lab environment
- Must be willing to travel for a travel assignment; no local candidates within 50 miles
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
