Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adult and pediatric ED patients, including triage, initial assessment, disposition planning, and ongoing monitoring of critical conditions.
- Administer medications, perform procedures within scope, establish access, monitor hemodynamics, and respond promptly to emergencies using appropriate codes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care; communicate with patients, families, and significant others.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; maintain strict adherence to privacy, safety, and quality standards; support discharge planning and patient education.
- Uphold professional practice standards, including compliance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics; participate in ongoing evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
- Adapt to the hospital ER environment, demonstrate clinical judgment, and participate in staff development and unit-based performance improvement.

Requirements
- Current Georgia RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Georgia
- ER nursing experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional advanced life support credentials (ACLS, PALS) as applicable
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts; flexibility to meet patient care needs
- Effective communication, critical thinking, and documentation skills; comfortable with electronic health records
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
