Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, professional ED nursing care to patients across age groups, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation
- Administer medications and IV therapies per protocol; manage high-acuity conditions and rapidly evolving situations
- Recognize and respond to clinical changes, initiate appropriate interventions, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist with procedures, patient safety, infection control, and documentation in the EMR (EPIC)
- Participate in patient flow, discharge planning, and patient/family education; coordinate with ancillary services as needed
- Floats may be required to support unit coverage during peak times; adhere to unit policies and safety standards

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- 2+ years of ED/ER experience; some pediatric exposure preferred
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO (request time off) must be included at submission
- Travel experience required; travel eligibility required
- Availability for 2:30 PM–3:00 AM shift; ability to work 36 hours per week
- Local candidates within 75 miles may be considered at local rate
