Responsibilities
- Provide direct acute care to ED patients across adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations, including triage and ongoing assessment.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergent treatments; monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic data.
- Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document care and procedures promptly and accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record; ensure compliance with policies and charting standards.
- Respond to critical events, manage airway and ventilatory support as needed, and initiate ACLS/other protocols; participate in rapid patient stabilization.
- Support unit operations in a dynamic, high-acuity environment; float to related areas as needed and appropriate.

Requirements
- Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse license with Nursys verification
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC required
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of ED experience; some pediatric exposure preferred; travel experience required and documented
- EMR: Proficient with EPIC
- Other: Driver’s license with address that matches demographics; RTO (requested time off) must be included at submission
- Location/distance: Must reside at least 75 miles away from the facility to qualify for travel; locals within 75 miles receive local rate
- Additional: Documentation of up-to-date resume reflecting ED practice; clinical duties include care for newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics; ability to work in a fast-paced ED and handle high-acuity cases
