Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel) in Utica, New York. Start date: 10/18/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,392–$2,443 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m., 12x3 day block; floating to other ED areas as needed. Setting: emergency department work in a high-volume, acute care environment. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial patient assessment and triage in the ED and initiate appropriate care pathways
- Monitor vital signs, interpret EKGs, administer medications, initiate IV therapy, and assist with diagnostic testing
- Provide direct patient care across age groups (neonatal to geriatric) with a focus on stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, and respiratory failure
- Collaborate with ED physicians and multidisciplinary teams; participate in rapid patient stabilization and programed care plans
- Document assessment findings, interventions, and patient response in the EMR (EPIC); ensure accurate charting and communication with care teams
- Support unit operations including patient flow, discharge planning, and adherence to ED protocols; float to compatible ED areas as needed

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys verification required; licensure must be active and unrestricted
- RTO (request for time off) must be included at submission; all RN licenses held and verifiable
- Experience: 2+ years of ED nursing experience; travel experience required; pediatric exposure preferred
- Certifications: current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC must be in hand
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Education: nursing degree from an accredited program (RN)
