Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager and Director
- Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel across multiple levels
- Initiate and coordinate individual and team care conferences with health team members, patients, and families to revise care plans
- Direct and monitor staff performance of patient care activities to ensure quality and safety
- Participate in direct patient care as needed and foster patient- and family-centered care
- Conduct rounds to understand patient care needs, introduce self to patients and families, and identify opportunities to improve the patient experience

Requirements
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice (California)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience: Five or more years of nursing experience; supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required; at least two years in a supervisory role
- Certifications: CPR/BLS; NRP; ALCS (as listed in job notes); AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring within last 2 years required
- Clinical standards: EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced acute care setting and perform unit-based leadership duties
