Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership and supervision of nursing and ancillary personnel on the assigned unit.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and staff to develop and revise care plans for optimal patient outcomes.
- Direct and monitor patient care activities to ensure safety, quality, and evidence-based practice; participate in direct patient care as needed.
- Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, introduce self to patients and families, and solicit feedback on nursing services.
- Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary conferences to coordinate care across the continuum and improve patient and family experience.
- Promote patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity and individual needs; support ongoing quality improvement efforts.

Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice (California)
- BLS/CPR required; ACLS required; NRP required; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring within last 2 years required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred)
- Five years of technical nursing experience preferred; two years of recent field experience required
- Supervisory experience required; charge nurse experience required
- EPIC/EHR experience required
- Ability to work in a high-acuity acute care environment
- Night shift availability; no set schedule/rotating pattern per assignment notes
