Travel Registered Nurse Ambulatory Care Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – OB, Labor & Delivery, and Postpartum in a hospital setting located in Perham, MN. This travel, temporary assignment starts 10/05/2026 and runs on a 12-hour day/night rotating schedule. You’ll work 72 hours every two weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,345 to $2,461. There are no guaranteed hours. The unit handles obstetric care, including labor and delivery and postpartum/newborn care, within a community hospital environment. A 24-hour orientation is provided to onboarding staff. Minnesota RN license is required (pending applications accepted). Certifications include ACLS, AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate, BLS, and NRP. COVID-19 vaccine is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetric nursing care across labor, delivery, and postpartum/postnatal care, including newborn support.
- Monitor fetal status with external/internal monitoring, manage labor progression, and support vaginal, induction, and cesarean delivery scenarios.
- Administer medications and manage therapies relevant to obstetric patients (analgesia, IV fluids, antihypertensives, anticoagulation as applicable); respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Perform routine nursing procedures (IV starts, venipuncture, Foley catheter management, oxygen therapy, glucose monitoring) and ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy) and participate in rapid response when indicated.
- Document accurately in Epic, provide patient and family education, and support discharge planning and follow-up needs.

Requirements
- Active Minnesota RN license (pending applications accepted)
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Minimum 1 year of obstetric/maternity experience in a community hospital setting
- Epic charting experience required
- COVID-19 vaccine required (exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons)
- Ability to work in a high-acuity OB/Labor & Delivery/Postpartum setting and to rotate day/night shifts
- OB/L&D/postpartum clinical competencies including EFM, inductions, vaginal deliveries, and postpartum/postnatal care
