Travel Physical Therapy Assistant LTAC Job

Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide PTA services under supervision of a licensed physical therapist in a LTAC setting
- Implement treatment plans through therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance and coordination activities, ROM and strength programs
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility, including transfers and adaptive equipment use
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes in status to the supervising PT
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment; ensure proper equipment setup and infection control
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other disciplines to support comprehensive patient care

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Texas
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
- Experience in a LTAC or skilled nursing environment preferred
- Ability to work the day shift and travel for a 13-week assignment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
