Physical Therapist – Travel assignment in Lanham, Maryland. Start date May 11, 2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30). Setting: skilled nursing facility. Weekly pay: $2,531 per week to $2,702 per week. Date posted: April 29, 2026; listing valid through August 10, 2026. This assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents in a skilled nursing setting.
- Implement PT interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, functional mobility work, and manual techniques; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Reassess residents, document progress notes, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team; support discharge planning and home exercise programs.
- Educate residents and families on treatment goals, safety, and functional activity strategies; provide clear home program instructions.
- Collaborate with nursing, OT, speech therapy, and medical staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
Requirements
- Active Maryland physical therapy license (or eligibility per state requirements)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical PT experience in rehabilitation or long-term care preferred
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work the 08:00–16:30 schedule, Monday–Friday; travel-ready
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced skilled nursing setting and adapt to resident needs
