Crew Driver – Maritime Transportation & Logistics

Location: Charleston, SC
Job Type: Part-Time

We are hiring a reliable Crew Driver to provide safe and timely transportation for maritime crew members, captains, personnel, and packages between ships, ports, airports, hotels, warehouses, and medical or customs facilities. This role is essential to supporting smooth maritime and port operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles for crew and passenger transport
• Plan routes using internal software, accounting for traffic and weather
• Complete trip logs, customs paperwork, and required documentation daily
• Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle upkeep (fueling, cleaning, reporting issues)
• Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, and job status
• Maintain professionalism with crew members, port authorities, and internal teams
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications, GPS navigation, and dispatch tools
• Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Prior maritime, transportation, logistics, or passenger service experience is a plus

Schedule & Availability

This position offers a flexible, as-needed schedule with assignments varying based on vessel activity and customer requirements.

• Individual assignments may range from 30 minutes to 2+ hours
• Multiple jobs may be available back-to-back throughout a shift
• Candidates are paid for actual hours worked
• Weekend availability is strongly preferred

Core Availability Requirement:
We are particularly seeking candidates who can reliably be available Monday through Friday between 7:00 PM and 1:00 AM, with additional opportunities available outside of those hours based on operational needs.
