Transport Aide Per Diem

Job Summary

Transports patients primarily in support of activities related to 4 West and 4 East. Transport will engage in transport activities supporting other departments as available.

Duties & Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care of all patient populations.              
Provides service as a patient escort, using correct body mechanics, for patients of all populations.
Receives and accurately records transport tasks in TDSS while ensuring positive patient identification.
Disinfects patient transport equipment after use and ensures proper distribution of transport equipment in areas of responsibility.

Preserves and protects patients' rights to confidentiality.
Performs other job-related duties as required or requested.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency required.  Must have good interpersonal skills and be fluent in the English language.
